Canoeing - Half Day Guided Tour £45.00

Water Experience Days: Enjoy a serene paddle down the River Stort in Essex, with this half day guided canoe tour. This is suitable for people who have some canoeing experience (basic paddling skills are fine!), and makes for a fantastic day out and a great way to see the beautiful Essex countryside. Along with a dedicate tour guide, you and your group will canoe gently downriver at a leisurely pace, taking in the picturesque panorama as you paddle! On the day of your Essex canoe tour, you'll meet with your group and guide and begin with a safety briefing and an introduction to the day. You'll be provided with life jackets, and then head for the canoes to begin your half day canoe tour. Beginning at either Bishops Stortford (paddling to Sawbridgeworth) or at Sawbridgeworth (and paddling on to Harlow Mill ), you will paddle downriver, passing through some beautiful protected wildlife reserves and tranquil countryside. You will have the opportunity to stop along the way; there are some charming little spots where you can grab a bite to eat or a drink. There are plenty of photo opportunities throghout the trip, but if you do bring a camera, it may be wise to keep it safe in a dry bag, just in case. At the end of your Essex canoeing experience you will be picked up and driven the 5 miles (approximately) back to your car.
