Animal Experience Days: There is no sport quite like it; challenging, entertaining and exhilarating but not as difficult to learn as you might think. Polo is a game that everyone can enjoy, and what better way to try it than at one of Yorkshire's fastest growing and most successful polo schools. Suitable for both riders and non-riders, you can be guaranteed a truly constructive and fun experience. You will learn to play polo with an HPA qualified instructor, the grounds are beautiful and the standard is high whilst keeping the emphasis on fun and enjoyment. After a welcome coffee, the rules of polo will be explained by a qualified instructor followed by a session of foot polo; where short mallets are used to learn to hit the ball and play the game on foot. Then mount 'Woody' the wooden pony (who goes nowhere) and learn how to use the full size mallet and practice your swing to develop your technique, before being introduced to real live ponies to play. All the ponies are well schooled and extremely well mannered and are safe for riders of all abilities. The instructor will be with you at all times and will ensure you have an enjoyable and exciting time.
