fourteen thousand people, and the warm aroma of chocolate pervaded
every street. Eighteenth century pioneers, like Joseph Rowntree and
Joseph Terry, opened factories which would later give life to
countless household favourites – among them the Kit Kat and Terry’s
Chocolate Orange. Today, the same spirit of invention is kept alive
by venues like the cocoa house, in which workshops take place. You
can choose between three weekly tempering classes – each focused on
a specific product. Whether experimenting with uniquely flavoured
bars, hand dipping rich truffles, or applying finishing touches to
an edible masterpiece – you’ll acquire new skills and leave with a
very special souvenir.
