Bird Of Prey Experience Days: Get up close and personal with these incredible creatures during
this unforgettable one-to-one falconry experience in North Wales.
You will spend 90 minutes with an expert falconer and the beautiful
birds of prey, giving you a real insight into their habitat and
hunting habits.
At the beginning of the experience you will meet your hawk, and
your falconer guide will tell you a bit about him. You will be
shown how to handle him (using a special leather glove), then it is
time to take him out flying! While you are out on your hawk walk,
your guide will tell you plenty about the history of falconry, and
how it developed into the near art-form it is today. As you stroll
through the beautiful Welsh countryside, your hawk will follow
along, soaring and swooping and demonstrating his incredible
agility - and, of course, coming to land on your gloved hand.
You'll now also get to meet and handle the centre's beautiful Barn
Owl!
