Surfing Experience Days: This is a fantastic family surfing lesson in Cornwall, where not only will you all get to learn the basics of the most addictive - and coolest - sports in the world, but you get to do it at one if the UK's best surfing locations! This is a superb family activity, and a really fun way to spend some quality time together. Surfing is a lot more than just a sport for many - for those who really love it, it is an entire way of life! During your 2 hours family surf lesson, for two adults and two children, your expert and enthusiastic surfing instructors will get you practicing the basic but vital surfing skills you'll need to get up on the board, beginning with some sand-based practice, where you will get used to 'popping up', or jumping to a standing position on the board. After two hours of practice, you may just have managed to ride your first wave!When you have all arrived at the Cornwall surf school and signed in for your lessons, you will be kitted out with your board and wetsuit, before heading to the beach to start the surfing lesson. You will start by getting familiar with the board while you are on dry land. On the sand, you will lie place the boards down and lie on them, with the surfing instructor explaining how to 'pop up' to a standing position, how to paddle out past the breaks, and how to catch a wave. Then you'll head for the surf to try it for real! You will spend the rest of the lesson trying to just catch a wave and get up on the board, to experience the unrivaled rush of catching that first wave and riding it to the shore!
