Food and Drink Experience Days: Learn the art of whisky blending during this
workshop in York. Held in a stylish restaurant conveniently located
in the Micklegate area, this whisky experience allows you to taste
and blend, then bottle and label your very own miniature
whisky!
Upon your arrival at the whisky blending
experience, you’ll be introduced to your blending expert and the
other whisky lovers taking part in the session. You’ll begin with
testing and trying a few classic blends. This will give you a
chance to get your palate used to the specific tastes that are
expected of these benchmark blends and understand more about the
art of blending. Then it’ll be time to get mixing with your own set
of whiskies and equipment! You’ll be relying on your sense of taste
together with your brain power to develop your own unique blend of
whisky. Once you’ve created the perfect mix, it’ll be time to
bottle and label your creation! You’ll need to come up with a
suitable name to brand your blend, which will really add a
personalised touch to your creation. At the end of the session,
you’ll walk away with your mini masterpieces and a wealth of
knowledge on blended whiskies!
