Two Hour Introductory Steam Train Driving on the Elsecar Heritage Railway £340.00
Enjoy a fantastic day out at the Elsecar Heritage Railway in beautiful Yorkshire! You will be entitled to the unique opportunity of driving a steam train under the supervision of the qualified and friendly crew at Elsecar Heritage Railway. During your two hour experience you will be invited up on to the footplate as all steam trains required both a driver and a fireman. The crew will guide you through the process, including the 1 in 37 gradient, which requires you to drive the train uphill and steadily along the line. Complimentary tea and coffee will be available throughout so make sure to quench your thirst as driving a steam train is an energetic and hands-on experience!
