Bird Of Prey Experience Days: This 30-minute Hawk Walk is a great way to get back to nature,
bond with feathered friends, and learn about the ancient practice
of falconry. Take a walk through a 6-acre nature trail, learn how
to handle birds, and create a connection with a beautiful hawk by
feeding it food from your hand!
Your experience will begin at the falconry centre, where you'll
meet friendly instructors and your hawk. After a brief introduction
to this majestic bird of prey, your instructors will teach you all
the basic skills and safety procedures you'll need to take part in
the experience. Next, it’s time to begin your journey! You'll start
by ambling through the idyllic and leafy 6 acres of nature trail at
Coolings Green & Pleasant, while your hawk follows behind
amongst the trees. Your feathered friend will fly down onto your
outstretched fist to collect morsels of food, proving this to be a
true exercise of bonding between two species, and an unforgettable
experience for all ages.
