Experience Days Attractions: Go behind the scenes at one of the UK’s most beloved attractions during this unique zookeeper experience in Drayton Manor Park, Staffordshire. Make the rounds with a member of their team and prepare to get stuck in as you work the paddocks, primate enclosure, reptile house and more!Your experience begins at the park entrance, where you’ll be collected by one of Drayton Manor’s professional zookeepers. After completing the necessary paperwork, you’ll be given overalls and led to the day’s first stop—the paddocks. Here, you’ll get a chance to work with a variety of larger herbivorous mammals, including tapirs, kangaroos and capybaras. Your guide will try to involve you in all parts of the job, so you might get a little closer to the animals than expected! After a half-hour lunch break, during which you can choose a meal deal from selected park outlets, you’ll head to the primate enclosures. These are home to small monkeys like tamarins and marmosets, as well as larger apes such as spider monkeys, macaques and gibbons. Once again, you’ll work one-to-one with the keeper to ensure all residents are well catered for! The day’s duties then continue inside the reptile house (if you’re feeling brave enough), before it’s finally time to meet the meerkats!
