Speedboat Experience Days: Forget open-top buses – here’s a tour that’ll really blow the
cobwebs away! Strap in for a 40-minute RIB blast on the Thames, and
take in London’s waterfront sights – including the Thames Barrier,
O2 Arena and Canary Wharf.
Your journey begins at North Greenwich Pier, where you’ll board
the twin turbo, 740hp RIB (rigid-hulled inflatable boat if you’re
wondering). Once everyone’s donned their life jackets and taken a
seat, you’ll set off downriver towards the Thames Barrier, London’s
awesome defence against high tides and storm surges. Here, you’ll
turn back and accelerate upriver, past the O2 Arena, Greenwich
Yacht Club, and Canary Wharf. An entertaining commentary will
provide some fun facts to accompany the sights, but this tour’s
only really about one thing – intense, wave-crashing thrills! On
the return journey, your guides will open up the throttle once
again, and – back at North Greenwich Pier – you’ll disembark
windswept, breathless, and smiling ear to ear!
